Well written and plot driven story about a new world order that is dominated by algorithms that have spun out of human control. The book details a highly realistic future in which the online universe permeates humanity and its warring factions. Yet, the story is also a tale of how nature takes over and how human relations persist. This is a highly recommended read that will leave you wanting for more. When does the sequel come out?

This was an exciting and fast read. However, it left me in deep thought. Going Places, Somewhere and Nowhere paints a daunting future that seems totally credible in this day and age. I love discovering fresh and compelling narratives, and Luise Noring’s “Going Places, Somewhere and Nowhere” is no exception. Set in a world devastated by a war between Europe and North America, the story explores how entire cities have been erased, giving rise to new, post-apocalyptic urban centers. In this society, the idea of traditional nation-states is obsolete.
Noring’s book is a gripping, fast-paced read that doesn’t give you a moment to breathe. The author’s clear, engaging writing style makes it easy to get lost in this dystopian world, leaving reality behind. Every chapter kept me hooked, and the fluid narrative made for a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

The author has skillfully crafted complex, relatable characters, especially the bond between the mother and her daughters. This was my first encounter with Luise Noring’s writing, and I’m excited to explore more of her work in the future.

Going Places, Somewhere and Nowhere, is an interesting story, very fast-paced. I’d recommend the book.

The story jumps around quite a bit, with a plethora of short sentences, which serve to speed things up. All in all, the feeling is one of desperation most of the way through. Everyone is ‘fighting’ for survival. This is understandable given the circumstances. And the scariest thought of all: this apocalyptic tale has a good chance of materializing. Borders today are ready to fall one by one, perhaps not soon, but in the future, near or otherwise.

I suggest that the author work more on characterization to move the plot along. It was difficult distinguishing one from another.
